Briggs fires Featherstone to win

Half-back Kyle Briggs scored 20 points as Co-operative Championship leaders Featherstone made it eight wins in a row in all competitions with a 44-4 victory that piled on the agony for Halifax.

Rovers never looked back once former Huddersfield and Harlequins forward Jon Grayshon put them ahead with a 13th-minute try.

Two goals from Briggs saw them lead 8-0 at half-time and it was one-way traffic in the second half as Stuart Dickens, Briggs, Ian Hardman, Jon Steel, Liam Finn and Iain Morrison added further tries.

Lee Patterson\'s solitary try came too late for Halifax, who have now lost their last three games including a shock Northern Rail Cup tie to Hunslet.
