Halifax third after Whitehaven victory

Halifax are up to third in the Co-operative Championship after a 28-10 win at Whitehaven.

Halifax jumped out into the lead through tries from Shad Royston and Ben Black, while Whitehaven got off the mark when Chris Smith crossed the line on 31 minutes before Royston\'s second secured the visitors an 18-6 half-time lead.

Further tries from Said Tamghart and Black ended the game as a contest before Carl Rudd pulled a try back for the hosts with 10 minutes remaining.
