Halifax hold off Keighley rally

Late converted tries from Sean Penkywicz and Luke Branighan ended a brave fightback by Keighley and helped Halifax to a 46-32 Co-operative Championship victory at Cougar Park.

Lee Patterson\'s two early tries and others from Jon Goddard, Paul White, Mark Gleeson and Bob Beswick, along with five Patterson goals, put the visitors into a commanding 34-14 lead.

But the Cougars struck back through Scott Law, James Hutchinson and Jon Pressley, to add to first-half tries from Ryan Benjafield and Danny Jones, who also kicked six goals, to set up a dramatic finish.
