Centurions slip up

Second-placed Leigh lost ground on Co-operative Championship leaders Featherstone when they went down 46-40 to third-placed Halifax in a 15-try thriller at Leigh Sports Village.

Winger Rob Worrincy scored a hat-trick of tries for the visitors, with others coming from Ben Black (2), Paul White, Dylan Nash and Shad Royston, with Lee Paterson kicking seven goals.

Steve Maden (2), Tommy Goulden, Stuart Donlan, Mike Morrison, Martyn Ridyard and Dave Armitstead scored Leigh\'s tries, with Mick Nanyn kicking six goals.
