Biography
There seems little doubt that Barker, a close season recruit from Harlequins, will be a probable fixture in Fax's matchday 17 over the next nine months.
The big question is where Matt Calland will employ the versatile 24 year old, whose last two National League seasons - with Hull KR and Castleford - ended in promotion.
Barker bagged the number six when club bosses doled out the shirts before Christmas, but previous form suggests a place in the pack, either the second row or as a ball-playing loose forward, is a more likely destination.
Wherever he ends up, Barker will bring a priceless ability to play almost anywhere on the park.
