Halifax RLFC will wrap up the regular season campaign when they take on Workington this Sunday.
The Cumbrians will make the long trip to West Yorkshire to face a Fax side that must avoid defeat to secure third place ahead of the Play-Offs.
Karl Harrison’s side are showing signs of slowly building in confidence after back-to-back victories over Batley and Keighley, and will have intentions of gaining further momentum ahead of the Play-Offs when they take on a Workington side that have sealed a play-off spot for themselves.
Workington, coached by Gary Charlton, have been consistent throughout the year and made themselves hard to beat, a fact known only too well by Fax themselves who had to dig deep to beat Town 20-8 way back in February.
With the likes of Jarrad Stack, Callum Phillips and former Fax forward Jamie Thackray all part of Workington’s attack, Halifax will undoubtedly have to be prepared for a battle.
Fax are likely to be without scrum-half Anthony Thackeray once more whilst Adam Robinson is considered a doubt.
Meanwhile, after playing seven games in just 25 days, Gary Thornton is expected to make a number of changes to rest a number of his stars.
