Jake Eccleston makes the squad

Trialist, Jake Eccleston shows his ability and makes this Friday's Squad..

Trialist, Jake Ecclestone has made the squad for this Friday's showdown with Hunslet Hawks.

22 year old Ecclestone earns a spot in the squad for our fixture, away at the South Leeds Stadium, after showcasing his ability to Head Coach, Richard Marshall, in training over the past few weeks. He became a trialist recently, after working with Richard Marshall in the Academy team at Warrington Wolves.

Richard said, "I was aware of Jake well before I came to Halifax. he's really showed up well in training recently and pushed himself in to the Squad for this weekend. He plays Centre, Wing and Full Back, so he has a great utility for us and can certainly add to the back line!"

Featured in Totalrl.com's 'What To Look Out For in 2015', Eccleston has shown his potential through his Academy experience and this wasn't the first time he's been noticed by Rugby League Press.

The squad has had a number of changes recently, including the season-long contract signing of former trialist, Ed Barber. Ed scored a fantastic try on his debut, V Whitehaven on 17th May. To find out more about Ed, click HERE.
