Halifax RLFC are pleased to announce that Andy Binns has moved onto the Board of Directors.
Andy has been involved with the club since beginning as a sponsor of the club through his own business, and has since become a member of the Executive Committee which was formed ahead of the 2015 season. Andy is also the Chairman of King Cross Park, a highly successful local amateur rugby club in Halifax.
“I am delighted to have made the natural progression onto the board of directors at the club,” said Andy.
“We are building the club into a Super League standard operation off the field and by putting together the building blocks for the future, I am sure this is where we will end up.”
Andy is part of the Executive Committee which helped fund the new infrastructure in the club office, including new IT equipment off the highest quality. This is the latest measurement in improving the club off the field, including the recent pre-season training camp to Portugal which is due to the increased central funding the club received for their sixth place finish in the Qualifiers last season.
“I am the first member of the Executive Committee to move onto the board, with others in the future possibly joining I am happy that I will be able to assist in a formal way to the board.”
Halifax RLFC Chairman Michael Steele added: “I am happy to welcome Andy onto the board after working with him after his work on the Executive Committee.
“It is great to have a lifelong fan of the club involved on the board, to help assist us and move forward as club into the new season.”
