Ryan Boyle joins on loan until end of the season

Halifax RLFC are delighted to announce the signing of prop Ryan Boyle on a season long loan deal from Super League side Castleford Tigers.

The 28 year-old brings a wealth of Super League experience to the MBi Shay.

Head Coach Richard Marshall said: “Ryan is an experienced Super League player. Whilst we have that experience in the squad already, I think he will complement our own players.

“The reports I have, tell me that Ryan is a very good professional. We look forward to him enhancing our environment.

“We lack a little bit of experience in certain areas. The pack hold their own, but it’s important we strengthen in that area.”

Castleford Tigers Head Coach Daryl Powell said on the move: “This is a great opportunity for Ryan Boyle, to go out on loan initially for a month, and get some game time with a very good Championship team.

“Halifax are competing at the top end of the Championship, I know Richard Marshall well, and Ryan will get quality coaching as well as competitive game time at Halifax.”

Boyle is the second addition to Marshall’s squad in the last fortnight, after Matt Sarsfield joined from Salford Red Devils.
