Halifax RLFC are delighted to announce the signing of Prop Harry Kidd from League 1 side University of Gloucestershire All Golds.
22-year-old England Universities International Kidd joins Fax having spent 3 years at the All Golds, juggling his Sports and Exercise Science studies with his rugby career.
The Leeds-born forward is Richard Marshall’s first new face for 2018 and he’s happy to finally have his man.
“I’ve been tracking Harry for some time,” said Marshall. “His performance in League 1 was outstanding last season and he was one of the top props in that competition. He then went on to represent England students at the recent Universities World Cup in Australia and again was one of the top performers alongside our own James Woodburn-Hall, representing his country with distinction.”
“He’s originally from Leeds but relocated to Gloucester to continue his higher education and play for the All Golds. He is young, athletic and hungry and fits the development model at the club well. I know he is looking forward to playing alongside the likes of Simon Grix and Scott Murrell and earning the boys’ respect. He will add some size, punch, and aggression to our pack of hungry young forwards.”
