Halifax RLFC play their first match live in front of the Sky Sports cameras this season when they travel to Widnes Vikings (3:15pm kick-off).
Halifax have lost all four of their Super 8s Qualifiers fixtures thus far, but encouraging signs were displayed in a second-half fightback, scoring 24 points against Hull KR.
Likewise, Super League side Widnes are yet to win a game since the split and they’ll be desperate for victory in order to keep their survival hopes alive.
Please note that the match kicks-off at 3:15pm rather than the traditional 3pm.
Halifax enjoyed better luck with injuries after last week’s visit to Hull KR.
Scott Murrell’s thumb problem was the only cause of concern, but the skipper - who was this week nominated for the 2018 Championship Player of the Year award - has been ruled fit, as has fellow assistant coach Simon Grix who returns from a cheekbone injury.
Also coming back into the 19-man squad is Hull KR loanee Kieren Moss, who was ineligible to play against his parent club last week. Steve Tyrer, Ed Barber, Jordan Baldwinson, Brandon Douglas and Harry Kidd are all injured.
Widnes Vikings: Patrick Ah Van, Owen Buckley, Jay Chapelhow, Liam Finn, Charlie Gubb, Harrison Hansen, Weller Hauraki, Aaron Heremaia, Chris Houston, Krisnan Inu, MacGraff Leuluai, Joe Lyons, Joe Mellor, Tom Olbison, Charly Runciman, Danny Walker, Lloyd White, Matt Whitley, Sam Wilde
