Executive Chairman, Mark Moore bows out.
At the reception following the penultimate ‘Middle Eights’ game against Leeds Rhinos on Sunday 23 September, supporters, sponsors and players joined Club President, Michael Steele and the Board of Directors in thanking retiring Executive Chairman Mark Moore for the time and effort which he has dedicated to the Club since becoming a Director in February 2107.
Mark actually resigned as a director in September 2017 but from that time took up the unique position of Chief Executive Officer on a 12 month fixed term contract which saw him hold the title of ‘Executive Chairman’ for the 2018 season at a salary of just £1.00!
In that capacity, Mark rebuilt relationships with Calderdale MBC and several local community Clubs, important relationships which the Club continues to develop.
He oversaw all aspect of the management of the Club for the first half of his tenure and has been the lead ambassador for Halifax RLFC with all other clubs in the Championship.
He has represented the Club at meetings of the RFL alongside the President.
The Directors acknowledged that he is universally respected throughout the game for his dedication and enthusiasm and that he had worked tirelessly for this Club.
They requested all present to join with them in thanking Mark for his efforts on behalf of the Club and presented him with a framed Fax shirt signed by all the players and the coaching staff and his ever-supportive wife, Sarah with a bunch of flowers.
