Director’s Resignation

A statement from Simon Oxby, Club Director:

“It is with regret that I have to leave my position on the Board of Halifax RLFC due to personal and work commitments.  Over the last two or three months it has not been possible to devote enough of my time and resources to the Club and this will now decrease further and I do not want this to affect all the positive work that has been done over the last couple of years by Mark Moore, Pete McNamara, Christian Lister, Paul Haggerty, Dave Grayson, all the office staff, Richard Marshall and the players, all the Volunteers who have helped us and anyone else connected with the Club.

I hope that I have in a small way helped to get the Club to where it is now and without the added support of The Halifax RLFC Foundation, the Supporters Trust and The Fax1 Supporters Group this would not have been possible.  There are many positive things happening at The Club and I know that Christian, Paul and Dave will continue to live and breathe the Club as I do.  Thanks again to all of you who have supported the Club and I hope to see you at a match soon, up the FAX.”

Christian Lister, Club Director, said “It is a great shame that the Board of Directors accepted Simon’s resignation on personal grounds.  I know that Dave, Paul as well as Sarah and Jenna from the operational side of the business, and the whole team at Halifax RLFC wish him all the best in his future endeavours.  Simon has agreed to remain the Ambassador for FAXGAP as this was his vision.  So, it’s not goodbye completely as Simon will be still working with the Management Team and cheering us on from the South stand.”
