Another week goes by and more changes to improve the Club continue.
You will recall a last week the detailed announcement around the various management groups that have now been set up. I am pleased to say that the response to these groups by the team members and from you the fans has been very encouraging. I am a great believer in results being the true barometer (especially after last season’s expectations pre-season and what happened both on and off the field!) Lessons to be learnt but there is a mass of hard work going on both on and off the field now to put that right.
We have more new sponsors on board; a 600% increase in social media engagements since the new team came on board; continued increased uptake on the early bird season ticket offer (which finishes end of October); some brilliant ideas on match day experience after the first meeting of the group; re-signed and new player announcements weekly and the Foundation continuing to deliver more and more outreach projects into the Community.
Special mention to the Halifax RLFC Women’s team who finished their first season with a semi -final game against top of the table Keighley Albion last Sunday. They didn’t get the win but to get into the play offs in their first season together was a fantastic achievement. Add to that Scott Murrell and his Halifax RLFC Academy Team having its biggest ever player intake and the Wheelchair team winning the Grand Final against Leeds Rhinos recently, just shows what can be done with hard work and dedication by those involved who represent this great Club.
