Halifax Rugby League are pleased to announce the signing of Keal Carlisle for the 2020 season.
The Hooker joins Fax from League 1 side Newcastle Thunder and will link up with his team mates with pre season in full swing. Carlile is no stranger to the Championship, having enjoyed spells in the division with Featherstone and Sheffield following his Super League career.
And our new man was delighted to have signed on the dotted line to pull on the Famous Blue and White.
“I'm delighted to have signed for Fax, it’s all come about so quickly but as soon as I spoke to Simon, I believed in his plans and how the club is looking to moving forward. There seems to be a definite buzz around the place and I can’t wait to get started now and have a big 2020.”
Head coach Simon Grix commented that he was looking forward to the 29 year old Yorkshireman having an positive influence on his squad throughout the campaign.
"Keal is an experienced 9 with the ability to bring players onto the ball and generate speed at the play the ball. He is obviously coming here primarily to compete for a spot in the team every week. Second to that and no less important, i have no doubt he can bring on the nouse of both Brandon (Moore) and Curt (Davies) as they continue to develop. Between them we hope to have healthy competition."
