Get behind Halifax RLFC with the “Support Our Sports” Fundraiser!

Hello Fellow Fax Fans,
Whether you followed Fax up at Thrum Hall, are a regular fan at the Shay or follow from afar we all need to come together now for our great Club.
Our Club, established in 1873, has been and still is heavily involved in the Community delivering physical, mental and general wellbeing solutions to all age groups, via the Halifax RLFC Foundation.
Over the years we have and still do visit and deliver in schools and have launched junior coaching programmes in our Community Clubs plus Calderdale College. This has seen some of the finest players rise from our great Town of Halifax to National and International stardom.
Moreover, our players, over the years, have opened shops, pubs, gyms and other business ventures, mingling shoulder to shoulder with Fax Fans in the true Fax family spirit.
During these very challenging times it is refreshing to see such support for campaigns like the £30m+ raised by Captain, now Colonel, Tom that show that people do want to give. They want to contribute to a brighter future than the one most people see right now,
So many of our Fax fans have reached out to the club with the same question. “What can I do to help?”, “How can we make sure the club is around for another 147 years!”
Therefore, the Club are pleased to announce a fundraiser with a difference.
Our sponsor Snowflake Media have organised a Virtual Entertainment Weekend called Halifax SOS.
This is an event happening next weekend, 9th & 10th May, that will provide a sensational programme featuring Comedians, Musicians, Past player interviews and sporting memories. The twist is that this also involves raising funds for junior sports clubs across the town including amateur rugby, football, squash, tennis and others. We see this as a widening of the audience for the club and the sport we love. As a club we receive 50% of every penny raised, with the other 50% going directly to junior clubs across the town.
So, what can you do?

1. If you can buy a ticket or a family pass from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/halifaxsos That would be wonderful.
2. If you would like to sponsor all or part of the event, please contact Halifaxsos@snowflakemedia.co.uk for details.
3. Share the ticket link, Facebook page (Facebook.com/halifaxsos) or Twitter page (Twitter.com/halifaxsos)
4. Look out for virtual items to buy from the club shop. Watch this space for ways to donate directly to the club too.

Yes, times are certainly challenging. Those of you that follow the Club closely will know we have plans in place to ensure Halifax RLFC will not only survive but thrive in the future. It is, and will be a tough challenge, but the funds raised through the event will be invaluable in ensuring the future is bright, the future is blue and white!
Please support this great idea to help our junior sporting community and of course your Club and keep the name of Halifax RLFC going for many years to come.
#ForwardTogether.
