Halifax RLFC are pleased to announce the addition of Lee Kenny to the board of directors, filling the Media & Marketing director role. Lee is the founder of Halifax-based Snowflake Media group who’s companies include providing web design, marketing and branding to local, national and International clients.

At JJB Sports, Lee was responsible for the TV broadcasting arm as well as the e-commerce and oversaw the launch of click and collect before leaving for a spell in Zurich Switzerland.
“I am honoured to join the board of such a prestigious club” said Lee Kenny. “From first stepping into Thrum Hall in the early 80’s you could sense what sports, and Rugby League meant to the people of Halifax. Having been born and raised here, I’m looking forward to helping the club regain its rightful position at the top table of the game. I’m excited to be working with the great team already here to enhance our media and marketing proposition as we make our way back to Super League!”
Through Snowflake Media, Lee has been involved with the club as a fan and sponsor. The company created the successful #Halicash fan engagement campaign which saw more than half a million people engage and view social media posts within 4 weeks at the beginning of 2020 campaign.
“The squad Simon is putting together is looking incredibly strong for next season and I’m looking forward on helping the team with a winning strategy that connects with fans, past, present and future in a positive way both on and off the field.”
Managing Director Dave Grayson - “I trust you will join me in welcoming Lee Kenny into the fold. A successful local Halifax businessman with several businesses and a real enthusiasm and passion regarding Charity and Community work in Calderdale. I am sure his skillset will add real value to the Board over time. Already a sponsor through his Snowflake Media group and instigator of the HaliCash match day initiative plus of course his organisation of the Halifax SOS weekend, shows a glimpse of the talent we have acquired to the Board. Welcome Lee.”
