Thrum Hall 13 Heritage

Thrum Hall 13 Heritage

Our heritage project 'Thrum Hall 13' allows all of Calderdale to appreciate our Club's rich history and interaction with Halifax

Blender Bikes

Our Blender Bikes are available throughout Calderdale and surrounding areas. This Big Lottery and Community Foundation for Calderdale funded activity is new to Calderdale and is an enjoyable activity to get residents of Calderdale active. Both foot and hand pedalled bikes are available. They are available to all community groups, schools, sports clubs and holiday clubs.

Brand new Junior bikes came to Calderdale in 2016, for 4 – 8 year olds for 2016.These are fully funded and booked on a first come, first served basis!

Our team of qualified coaches are available for community Rugby League delivery in schools, youth groups and community clubs. Our coaches are Halifax RLFC players and are available throughout the week.

Girls Rugby League

Community Rugby

2017 will see CCCT continue to venture in to Calderdale secondary schools, with the help of Sport England, to build female participation in Rugby League.

Over an initial 12 months, the Coaching Trust’s fully trained staff will be delivering touch, tag and full contacts games from years 7 to 11. All those involved will be signposted to their local Amateur Rugby League Club, with a view to grow female involvement in the sport as a whole, long term.

Play Touch Rugby League

Our Play Touch scheme worked fantastically this year, running every week over the summer. All abilities are welcome with refreshments included and incentives throughout the competition. We’re currently organizing next year’s scheme, so watch this space for updated details, or contact Chris Mitchell on his contact details below.

Young @ Heart

Our Young @ Heart scheme is an over 50’s group that meet every Thursday at 2pm until 4pm in the Supporters Bar at The MBI Shay Stadium. The activities available are table tennis, Wii, New Age Kurling, air hockey, giant connect 4, dominoes, card games and scrabble. Refreshments are also available.

We now have a Street games funded dance team based at Calderdale College Dance Studio. The ‘All Stars’ troop are completely separate to Halifax RLFC’s Faxettes and Bluebelles, and cheer at a multitude of events, fun days and galas!  New participants (aged 14 – 25) are welcome to join the group, which meets on a Friday evening, from 6.30pm until 7.30pm

Walking Football
