Halifax Development Squad

Halifax RLFC Academy is an accredited Tier 3 Academy and part of an RFL initiative to introduce a pathway from grass root to elite performance. It is the only Official Halifax RLFC Rugby League Academy with direct links to Halifax RLFC.

Based at the clubs training base, The Inspire Centre at Calderdale College and headed up by Club Captain Scott Murrell the Academy is part of Halifax RLFC’s professional pathway and is aimed at student athletes who wish to combine their academic studies with an opportunity to progress into the professional game.

The Halifax RLFC Development Programme aimed to provide young players aged 14-16 in school years 10-11 with supplementary coaching to that delivered at community clubs. It is completely open access to any and all players at Under 14s, 15s and 16s and is based on the core principles of the England Talent Pathway.

Each evening will be 6pm-7pm at our training base; The Inspire Centre, Francis Street, Halifax, HX1 3UZ.
